Tabitha creased her sweater once again and wiped her tears.
She didn’t want him to know she’d been crying. He’d hate that.

Her eyes searched for that familiar face in the crowd that descended from the escalator.
Must be any minute now. She clenched on the barriers that prevented her to rush through the customs and find Carl herself.

Sometimes we are content with being just okay in life because we do not really know what real happiness means. Because we do not have anything to compare with what we have. We feel good. Right. We even admit we are happy. We do. And we are. Or we think so. But only till the moment when we happen to be really happy. As in overwhelmingly happy. As in fairy tale type happy.

“I love you!” he said looking into her sparkling eyes and waiting impatiently for a reply from her side. She blushed and whispered “I love you too” maybe a little too fast but who cares since these were words he has been waiting for for so long. He gave her a soft kiss on lips and they went together on the path of a new and happy life… life together”

He woke up from his dream knowing it would never come true as she got married just last month.

“I love you” she repeated again and again. Felt so good to be able to say it out loudly. And to hear the same magical three words back. To know that you are loved….

Imagine a perfect relationship. A relationship full of love, passion, respect, tolerance, understanding. Imagine that you wake up to sweet good mornings and go to bed after a good night kiss. Every single day. 365 days a year. No exceptions. No failures.

Valentine’s Day is all about love and spreading happiness. Though yes, it is over-commercial and yes, some people make big money just because this day exists, and again yes, there can’t be one day for showing your love to your loved ones. But then, we still love the day, don’t we? It is another perfect opportunity to show some special people in your life that you care.

But what is love when you don’t love yourself? How do you care for others if you don’t care for yourself? Can you make someone smile if you forgot how to smile?

I wish I could sing
A song of starlight illuminating my path.
I wish I could write
A story of a gentle breeze showing me the way.
I wish I could paint
A picture of melody playing on my mind.
I wish I could live a peaceful and a quiet life.

But I have no voice to create a sound of music.
And I have no gift to express my feelings with words.
And it is a difficult task to paint in bright colors
Even though I tried for so many times.

Have you thought about it? She sat up.

About what?

She touched his face with her finger tips. The next moment he felt the velvet touch of her lips pass over his brow.

About what? He repeated.

Have you ever wondered how most of us dream about the same things? We might be different. We might argue a lot. We might fight and try to prove our point of view. But in the end of the day when we go to bed and are one on one with our thoughts and dreams and desires we want the only one thing - admit it or deny it - we want to be loved. And we want to be happy. And somehow one does not go without another.

Christmas is all about Hope and Love, Joy and Happiness, Understanding and Tolerance. It is time when we again are given a chance to prove we deserve to be here, we deserve to be called humans, we deserve to be. This chance we are given every day of our lives, and most of us screw it right then. Christmas is a perfect timing to start anew. To be kind, to be sweet, to be caring.. It is a chance to be good.

Sometimes we lose. We don’t want to but it happens. We can’t control it but it’s there. We cry about it but it is hardly within our powers to change anything. And then we break down.

A person who seemed unbreakable – breaks.
A person who seemed so strong – crumbles.
A person who always laughed it off – cries.
A person who would never stop trying – is about to give up and quit.

From all the mysteries life has gifted us love is the most mysterious mysterybecause everyone has their own answers to the question what love is and yet nobody does.
How many times you have been asked about what love is. And how many times you tried to come up with the answer, which could possibly match all the aspects of love. And how many times you had to compromise with the vocabulary that is never enough to be worth the beauty of this feeling. Countless…
