Last time it was Barcelona, today we will go to Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland and third most populous in the United Kingdom.I don’t know about you but I was always fascinated with Scotland. I remember reading lots of crappy love stories set in Scotland. And while I was annoyed by the stories themselves I fell in love with the country.
So when it came to choosing another city for One City - 3 Facts I thought why not Glasgow? So here we are!

That has been a really long break with One City - 3 Facts but now I am back and you can count on having this column on The Colors Magazine every week.
Today we are going to visit Rome. I have always been fascinated with Italy. People, culture, FOOD. Till now I only was there once, that too on a business trip in Milan last year. So today we are going to visit Rome together. But before that I want to remind you what Once City - 3 Facts actually is.

Now when the contest is over I can finally be regular on the magazine. And what can be more than regular if I resume writing on One City - 3 Facts column.
Today I am going to write about the capital of Germany - Berlin. After having studied Gemanistik for years I do have a special love for everything German. Except maybe german literature. When I visited Berlin I was lucky. It was a nice weather, I met nice people, I saw everything I planned to see, including the historical places which related to my own country - like a War Memorial in Treptower Park, the key sculpture of which is the 12-m tall statue of a Soviet soldier with a sword holding a saved child. When you see that you feel emotions you never even thought you can have.

Today here on The Colors Magazine I present 3 Facts about Hong Kong. Don’t ask me how I have chosen the city for One City - 3 Facts this time, do not really know what hit me that hard that I moved from Europe to Asia. But I must admit it is not that bad a choice.
The official name of the city is Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. I guess you would never have guessed, would you? Even if it is a part of Republic of China, Hong Kong enjoys a high degree of autonomy in all areas except only foreign affairs and defence. You can read more on political set up and history of the city here. Not my task. My task is to tell you about some not so obvious facts of Hong Kong.

Salzburg is today’s city in One City - 3 Facts. The 4th largest of Austria, one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the setting for parts of the musical and film The Sounds of Music.
When I was at the University we had one whole semester dedicated to famous composers from Germany and Austria. We discussed their works, studied their biographies, compared them and searched for the signs of their complicated fates in their beautiful music pieces. I still have no idea why we had to do that. I do not see any explanation other than that it was some cruel joke of our professors to include the discussions on these topics into our study plans.

Today’s city in One City - 3 Facts - Copenhagen. The choice of the city is quite random actually, it is one of those I have not visited but always wanted to. I guess childhood fairytales and Hans Christian Andersen are to be blamed. But the city is really impressive.
According to Wikipedia Copenhagen is the capital and largest city of Denmark, with an urban area with a population of 1,167,569 (2009) and a metropolitan area with a population of 1,875,179 (2009). Copenhagen is situated on the Islands of Zealand and Amager. Didn’t tell much to me, so I thought of digging more and more to find 3 interesting facts which might tell me more about the city than just a wikipedia article which one is by the way really informative.

Today as promised The Colors Magazine continues One City - 3 Facts column by taking a closer look at Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. The city which is mostly well known due to Red Light District as well as to its liberal policies toward soft drugs. Thank God, the city has much more to offer than just that.
Why Amsterdam? Maybe because this city is the only one which impressed me more than I had expected.
I mean you know what to expect from London or Paris or Rome, but you can’t be prepared to the feeling of freedom and beauty and even majesty of Amsterdam.
