Ice Maiden: Blog Review

27 June 2010 One Comment

Note: sorry for the delay with announcing contest’s results. The results will be published on Sunday, July 4th.

Annie with the post In Loving Memory was the winner of April edition of The Colors Magazine contest series Show Your Best where bloggers present their best posts from the previous month. It is a great chance to show your writing to a wide range of people, share your opinions and perspectives and get new readers. As per contest’s rules today we are going to make a review of Annie’s blog Ice Maiden.

About the author

First of all, Annie is a very talented writer who owns a very popular blog and who also happens to be a very attractive young lady. She loves a lot of things but who can tell better about her than herself? So you better drop by her About me page.

About blog design

This blog has a simple two-column layout, very user friendly and comfortable to be at. Even if the background is black (which I personally don’t feel comfortable with when used in websites or blogs), you do not really notice it as all you are focussed on is great content.

About the blog

The Ice Maiden’s first post dates March 2008. It takes a lot of passion and dedication towards blogging and writing to  kepp it going for such a long time. As Annie says:

I think a lot. Like really a LOT. I start with this one idea in my head and go to some crazy different idea all together in a matter of seconds…  I may write a lot today and disappear for the next couple of months. I may write about things that are completely pointless (like most of the things I am fond of doing)… the purpose I haven’t started blogging to crib about the usual things that we engineer’s already crib about anyway… this isn’t some human-rights forum… or save-the animals thing… this page is existing simply cuz I love to write. Comments are welcome… though I don’t really care if they are good or bad… ok tht’s it for now

The blog offers you a variety of posts. It is tough to pick up favorites because they all are good Take a random post from archives and you would love it. Check the latest one and you would want to read more and more.  This blog offers a mix of posts: personal posts, poems, short stories, some random stuff which does not seem that random when you start reading it because you can relate to those posts, you can love them or hate them (I am sure you will love them, though) but the main point is you can relate to them, it is as if Annie and you are thinking alike. These are posts we all can relate to, think about and have our own opinions on. These are lessons of life and for life.

You can start getting to know this blog and its author by checking the page with the best posts’ list - here. But to make it easier for you, so that you could have something to start with, I suggest a couple of posts that you should definitely NOT miss:

Hello

Crimson Tears

50 Reasons why I Love You

Good Girls Gone Bad

Somedays

The posts are written with a simple language yet they show complicated emotions. They make you feel, they make you smile, they make you laugh. They make you look deep into your heart and find their feelings and emotions long forgotten.

As you can see Ice Maiden is a blog worth visiting regularly. So what are you waiting for?
