No One Waits Forever

11 May 2010 9 Comments

Today is a very important day for The Colors Magazine. At this very day, a year ago the first post was published here. We have gone a long way since then. And I hope to go even a longer one with all of you. It would not be possible without your support and encouragement. And as it is an important day I will share with you an important post. One of Tuesday Love Ramblings. A post that is meant to underline the importance of saying I love you to people you care about.

“I love you!” he said looking into her sparkling eyes and waiting impatiently for a reply from her side. She blushed and whispered “I love you too” maybe a little too fast but who cares since these were words he has been waiting for  for so long. He gave her a soft kiss on lips and they went together on the path of a new and happy life… life together”

He woke up from his dream knowing it would never come true as she got married just last month.

“I love you” she repeated again and again. Felt so good to be able to say it out loudly. And to hear the same magical three words back. To know that you are loved….

The phone was ringing. She came back to reality. Never has she said these three words because he  had died a year ago and never knew about the way she felt about him.

couple talk No One Waits ForeverHow often we hesitate to share our feelings, to confess our love, to tell about the way some people make us feel? How often we wait for a perfect moment to let them know? And how often we are too late because someone else would do it before us and things will just go wrong?

Who told you there is a perfect moment?

Do you know what a perfect moment looks like?

Maybe the perfect moment is just now?

Maybe it was yesterday?

Maybe it will never happen?

How do you know?

And what will you do when it comes (if it does)?

Are you prepared?

Do you know what to say?

How to say it?

Considering this perfect moment is NOW. Are you ready?

We always wait for a better opportunity, a better place, a better time. We just hope tomorrow will be a better day for this. We always wait for tomorrow, but…. maybe we shouldn’t?

dating No One Waits Forever

Instead of waiting for a perfect moment shouldn’t we create one for ourselves?

Because

what if tomorrow never comes,
what if you take too much time,
what if they don’t manage to wait for your confession…

Nobody waits forever….

“I love you” he finally said looking directly into her eyes waiting eagerly for her reply… “I am sorry”, she replied and he couldnt hide the tears of pain and regret as his life just broke into million of pieces.

Is it something you are afraid of? Of being rejected? Sometimes we dont say important things because we are afraid to get a not “supposed” answer. Because before we have shared the feelings we always have this HOPE that maybe they feel the same for us. And after we confessed we are on a 50/50 edge. And a negative reply will kill all the hope. Now think… what do you risk here? On the one side you might get to know what love is when it is shared by both… and on the other you will lose the chances to be with someone you love because they don’t feel the same for you.

Wouldn’t you want to risk?? Why not? After all it is not something you can change. Whatever they feel for you they already feel it.

If you confess and a reply is positive, do you lose anything?
And if you confess and are rejected, what you lose? Just something that has never been yours.. Do not be sad for being without someone who is happy being without you; it is not fair, is it?

The thing is only that if you don’t say what you feel, it might become late. World won’t stay still until you finally decide what you want to do. Life will go on. No one waits forever.

It’s beautiful… it really is. Nowadays we are so bombarded with the harshness and cold sarcasm of reality, that we forget the beautiful things, even though they may just be a mere fantasy. Life IS beautiful… we just don’t see it anymore. Your blog is lovely, it truly brings out the colours from today’s greyscale life. Happy anniversary, ColorsMag!

Indeed what a beautiful naration and journey of words and emotions!
    Simply loved it:)
The message is absolutely correct…times moves on..unsaid words latter haunts. One must sure convey the feelings at the earliest, as no one has seen what the weird wheel of time holds for the person in life.

~Sure Lena, you convey in the best moment and apt words:)

    Luv yeah always:)

Dear Lena you are so right on this one, there is no ‘a better opportunity, a better place, a better time’, it is now like you said. I always hate to hear when people say ‘one day I will have this, that etc etc.’ - who know about that one day, that one day is NOW. Lena thank you for beautiful post, you are precious when comes to love. I tell my Matthew I love him every day all day, and some times he turns around and says I love you Mommy, or I love you Daddy…. I wish I grew up in the loving environment like that, but you know it is not too late… Anna :) Anna´s last blog ..Letter to Matthew - Today Is Your 2nd Birthday My ComLuv Profile
