Finally the day has come when I am ready to announce the results of our monthly contest Show Your Best at The Colors Magazine. The idea of contest is to promote good writing and get more exposure for amazing blogs whose authors participate in the contest. It is amazing how many really talented people write in the blogs, sharing their views, opinions, perspectives with the world. And I am proud that we have created a small community of our own here.

This time we have received 25 entries for the contest. And they are more than just great! Amazing, touching, beautiful, thought provoking and many more. To check the entries you can go here and follow the links left by the bloggers. As usual it was tough to choose. But after reading and re-reading I am finally ready to indroduce the winner to you.

Who can take part in the contest?

Everyone, as long as you have a blog and have posted in there in May 2010.

Which posts are eligible for the contest?

Any post written between May 1st and May 31st. Only posts in English are acceptable.

How do I enter?

To enter the contest you don’t have to fill in any forms or send the submissions to me. All you have to do is:

1. Tweet about the contest. Simple as that. You have Twitter, you retweet our message, you can participate.

Text to retweet:

RT @ColorsMag Free #Contest for all bloggers. Show your best blog post. Share your blog with the world http://bit.ly/bnnQGS

2. If you don’t have twitter or don’t want to use it for some reasons, you can enter the contest by either writing about it (active link included) or posting an active link to this post in one of your own. Note that the post should not be older than May 30th.

If you used Twitter, comment to this post with the link to your tweet or your Twitter name so that I would know you did it. And add the link to the May post you enter the contest with.

If you wrote the post about the contest or added the link, post 2 links in the comments section to this post: the link to your post about this contest and the link to the post you enter for a competition.

Note that I accept only one post per person per blog. It means if you have 2 blogs and want to enter with 2 posts you should write about the contest on both blogs or tweet twice.

Who will choose the winner?

I will. Solely. I have my own criteria and system. Here they are:

Originality (1-5 points)
Presentation of ideas, structure (1-10 points)
Creativity (1-5 points)
Grammar (1-5 points)
Voice (1-5 points)
Personal liking (1-5 points)

I might consider more than 1 winner depending on the turn out and the quality of entries. Just like in January Contest.

Deadline

You can submit your posts for the contest till June 20th, 10PM Moscow Time. Please consider the time difference. At 10:01PM I will close comments on this post.

Results

I will post the contest’s results on June 26th, 2010.

I hope you will enjoy the competition and take an active part by checking the competitors’ blogs and maybe find new interesting reads you would not be able to come across otherwise.
