Time Heals All

12 November 2009 32 Comments

They say time heals all.

Does it heal the bruises of hasty decisions?
The ones that haunt you through day and night reminding you of things done and words said.

Does it heal the loss of unforgettable love?
The one which filled your life with sense and broke your heart short after.

Does it heal the confusion of tough choices?
When you know that either ways you hurt someone and they will never forgive you.

Does it heal the damage of unreachable dreams?
When no matter how hard you try it is just not enough. And you quit trying.

Does it heal the wounds of irreversible regrets?
When you can’t get rid of what if’s and what could be’s .

Does it heal the fractures of daily failures?
When you fall and get up and fall again and again and again. And each time it is harder to get up.

Does it heal the bitterness of lies?
The ones you believed in and the ones you said yourself.

Does it heal the injuries of broken trust? Lost friends? Loneliness?

time heals all 300x294 Time Heals All

They say time heals all.

And you know… time heals almost everything. Just give time time.

Time does not heal everything. No. I dont think so. Not for me.

Coincidentally, this is precisely the phrase my daddy used yesterday morn for something similar.

As wonderfully written as always Le !

I know what you mean, Cindy. Probably, people who love us, say it just to make us keep hope for the better things in life. For me time would not heal everything either.

Time makes us forget,If not forget at least it blurs some incidents…With time we forget…i don’t think we heal.
Our memory weakens with time…but then this is just my interpretation.

tc …a thoughtful post as always

maybe they mean that forgetting is healing, to forget is to move on in some way… maybe that is what people call healing..

    you take care too :)

I can understand your frustration but I would again say… yes, time heals all. Certain things just take more time to heal than others… certain things leave more prominent scars on us than others. But time does heal them :-)

ohhh, Raaji, I am not frustrated, it is just the post, not my mood :)
And I agree, certain things just need more time :)

I wudnt say time heals, but the memory definitely starts fading with time….and we somehow learn to move, after picking up the bits and pieces of life. I think thats why they say time heals everything!!

Guess the only thing that forces the recovery is our wish to be happy :)

What an interesting post to ponder. I think the ideal is to have time heal all wounds but does it actually happen in a lifetime, I think not. Unless you have a very sympathetic and forgiving spirit or perhaps a selective memory. I wish it were that easy…

you know, the last part of your comment “Unless you have a very sympathetic and forgiving spirit or perhaps a selective memory” I feel like it is about me :D

Even i wish things were easy :)

no, time doesnt heal anything by its own. if u want to forget ur past and the mistakes u made, u have to help yourself to forget them. u cant just leave it on ‘time’. it doesnt work that way.

    The Colors Magazine Reply:

That is what I meant to… to move on and forget and forgive and heal.. you got to work hard on it.

Heal is a word used for our satisfaction to comeout of it or to be in good terms. Its basically the pain to heal which we think its easy. But its not. Somewhere inside our heart, in a corner, we grief those mistakes and feel sad. Time doesn’t heal but makes us to move on making the pain to go away by being assertive and positive and feel the happiness by bringing good thing into our lives.

    The Colors Magazine Reply:

Absolutely… this pain and grief are still inside us and we get back to them every now and then even if we already had moved on in life :)

Thank you for your views :)

    Dear Friend,
    NAMASTE!
First time here n enjoyed stopping by!time heals everything-easily said than done!it depends on the depth of the sorrow, the hurt, the strength of mind n so many other factors!
get occupied n turning to GOD,surrendering ourselves at teh LOTUS FEET will help us a lot!
social service helps us to bring smile on the faces of the less fortunate!
we have to live as long as GOD wants us!so,keeping the sorrows inside the depth of my heart,I am living!
    wishing you a wonderful evening,
    sasneham,

    Dear Colors of Magazine,
I know for a fact that time does heal everything if you set your mind to it… No one really starts out kind. All we know how to do at first is want. We want food, we want attention… It’s just natural survival instinct, I guess… But kindness is something that we all have to learn as we go. It’s something that grows and develops slowly over time… And so, kindness can come in all shorts of shapes and sizes… True kindness isn’t something we’re born to except or to deal with it… It’s something we have to work at. It’s not always easy to see the good in people. But if you can somehow, find a way to believe that time is everything and every path you take you might find it that only thing you can do is just to see it in others and yourself… Sometimes, that’s all it takes to help someone, to give them the strength to find the good in themselves….. By the way, I love your little post and I so agree with it that time is what you have to wait for no matter what!!!

    Sencerly yours,
    Arti Church

Time does not heal…it just puts the bad memories buried into your unconscious mind so you won’t always remember it but when something triggers it again , then the pain will immediately resurface without any warning.
