Red is Red. Not A Short Story
Dogs are smart. I can bet they are smarter than some people. Have you ever seen dogs cross the road? They wait patiently with the crowd as if they know that red is a signal of a danger and green is a permission to go. Trust me, many people can’t tell the difference. They run a red light. Alone. In groups. With kids. I hate it the most when they run against the red signal with kids. Kids should not suffer because of their parents’ stupidity.
The worst thing is that I can not do anything. Red is red. Green is green. That’s a rule. No one can break it. No one should. Dogs don’t. They have not been taught in schools how to cross the road. Yet they know it.
Red is red. Green is green. How tough is it to figure out? I know what I am talking about. Only yesterday I saw two accidents. An old lady (doesn’t age teach you anything, people?) just made a few steps before a car hit her. Instant death. Don’t know if that’s a lucky outcome for her. A sad one for sure. In the other case a young couple thought they were smarter than anyone else. They saw no cars on the road and decided not to wait. Laughing they ran a red light. A sudden brakes’ squeal. People shouting. People crying. A chaos. He will never hear her laugh anymore.
I see them daily. The ones who are in a hurry. In a hurry to a death-bed. Red is red. Green is green. What’s the problem here? Can’t you handle that much? Just look at me. If I show red you stop, green – go. Not the other way round. Or just watch the dogs. They know it.
PS: A random attempt on fiction which might not be that much of a fiction though.

Red is Red, Green is green, n how about the yellow???
Read it…
it was green from my side, red for all other signals. suddenly the green turned to yellow for being RED..
and just beside me(I was on Bike) there was a Car, i stopped as its d signal for being Red, but she, who was driving that car, wont!!, speed up her Car…. N there was a Gal behind the Truck standing, towards my Left, at extreme left, not visible from our side, as She found the light turning Green, she ignited her scooter’s engine n gave a sharp speed, BANG… was so hard that it made the car to twist for a while but the Car driver, she dint stop, she Flew. but this Gal, Oh!! My God, she was seriously injured as her half of the upper body seems to be like bend to Left…
Its not Only about Red, Green or Yellow, Its all about the Life……

Dogs are smart. They listen, watch, wait. Dogs are smart. They have nothing to prove, nothing to lose. They stand apart.
Dogs are smart. They don’t look for green or red. They listen, they watch. Dogs are smart and only cross when no car is coming.

It is all fiction, but might be as well real as people always act stupid.

I wish you develop that just a little bit more. I like the story. Reminds of a real event when I was hauling a horse (think big truck, trailer, lots of weight) and a woman headed to church ran a stop sign (I had a straight through, she was on a side road). I locked it up, but I T-Boned her anyway. My thought afterward was the lady in that big of a hurry to meet up with God?
