3 Facts: Moscow

4 August 2009 17 Comments

After some time gap The Colors Magazine is back. This time it will me more regular, more interesting and more informative. All you have to do is to stay in touch with us.

The Colors Magazine will have a few changes in the next couple of weeks. One of them I want to present to you today. Starting now I open a new weekly column: One City - 3 Facts.

cities 3 Facts: Moscow

Each week you will get to read about different cities in the world and 3 most interesting, unusual or just fun facts about it. Of course there are more than just 3 facts to each of the city, but I will try to choose the less known or the most interesting for you. These won’t be the facts which you can find on the first pages of city-guides.

I hope the new column will be as much interesting for you to read as it is for me to write. And it is only logical that today I will start with 3 facts of my country’s capital.

Welcome to Moscow :)

3 Facts about Moscow

1. The most unusual Museum of Moscow is Museum of Water

Here you can see everything which has to do with the provision and processing of water in the city, from its founding to the present day. The exhibition will not only tell you about water supply in Moscow  from the 17th century till today but also show state-of-the-art purification systems. In addition the problems of ecology and spare use of water are treated so the exhibition has also an educational aim.

3. Moscow has 12 famous ghosts, most of them related to russian and/or  USSR history. At least some sources state so. Not that I have seen any of them. Not that I even believe in it. But… you never know.

That’s it. The first 3 facts about world’s cities. If you liked it, disliked it, have something to add or something to share, your comments are very much welcome. Next Tuesday I will present 3 facts about my city. Keep reading.
